The Dutch brand Mystic was founded in 2002 and is THE water and lifestyle brand for windsurfers, kitesurfers and wake boarders. Mystic is very active in the industry and is supporting world class surfers. Mystic creates a range of equipment that embraces modern technology and durability, allowing riders to break all existing boundaries.

Thanks to Mystic’s product knowledge and FPI’s technical expertise, our collaboration was able to produce the world’s first plastic kitesurf harness. FPI is the manufacturer of the Harness Warrior X and the Stealth Bar Gen 3, two advanced products designed for high-performance sports.

Engineering Support
FPI works closely with Mystic’s design team to develop new items, collaborating on the latest innovations to enhance product functionality, comfort, and durability. This partnership ensures that each product meets the highest standards of quality and performance, with a strong focus on meeting the specific needs of athletes and enthusiasts in surf sports. Together, FPI and Mystic push the boundaries of design and technology, creating cutting-edge gear for the most demanding environments.

Prototyping
After an intensive engineering process, we first produce prototypes that are tested on the water by Mystic’s test team. Then, we develope the first injection mold to determine the right material grade for a perfect balance between flexibility and support.

Material selection
Since a kitesurf harness is used in the most extreme weather conditions, we recommend a copolymer. During production, leftover material is recycled and reused, ensuring no waste—an important condition for Mystic to produce as responsibly as possible.

Once the model is fully developed and the entire team is convinced of its performance, we begin manufacturing production molds for all sizes, just in time for the season.
